The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Studies (BAS) is a degree completer program designed for professionals who have completed some prior college or technical training and are seeking an affordable undergraduate degree completion path to advance their careers.
The 120-credit degree program includes required courses focused on professional development and career planning (6 credit hours); a directed pathway through the SEEDS General Education program (30–33 credits); courses in a chosen concentration (24 credit hours); and free electives. All credits earned from a completed AA, AS or AAS degree will be applied toward the BAS degree requirements. Students transferring with an Associate’s Degree are exempt from SEEDS.
The current concentration offered is Public Service.
Requirements: A minimum of 30 credits must be completed at Bloomfield College of Montclair State University.

Unless otherwise noted, 120 credits of coursework is required for a baccalaureate degree with a minimum 2.0 overall GPA, and a minimum 2.0 major GPA.
