Science Writing for STEM Majors Certificate

The “Science Writing for STEM Majors” certificate provides students with authentic, real world communication on challenges that mirror the evolving demands of 21st century science careers. Combining SEEDS Effective Writing I and II courses with an experiential capstone course, the certificate prepares students for internship and work experiences during their college career. 

Admissions requirements: Students with STEM majors will be invited to apply for the certificate based upon faculty recommendation on and/or academic performance in the Effective Writing I and II sequence (WRIT 107, WRIT 207). Selected students will go on to complete WRIT 307, the capstone course, and will receive the certificate.
